Meridian Legal Advisors Website Redesign Case Study
Summary
Meridian Legal Advisors required a new website to reflect the professionalism of the firm and gain new clients. The website was holding back business expansion due to slow loading speeds, low local search visibility and minimal conversion tracking.
We totally redesigned the website in Figma before rebuilding the website with Next.js and Sanity CMS with a mobile-first approach. On the technical SEO side, the project included local SEO landing pages, EEAT and YMYL content, advanced analytics and lead generation improvements. The result was a faster more conversion focused website with a better foundation for long term organic growth.
Problem
Meridian Legal Advisors had built up a strong reputation through its legal services but the quality of the firm was no longer reflected in its website. The current website was built on WordPress and it was becoming more and more difficult to optimize for performance. Slow loading speeds are detrimental to the user experience, pushing away potential clients before they have the opportunity to explore the firm’s offerings. For a law firm, where many visitors are actively searching for legal help, even a second’s delay can erode trust and increase churn.
The website design was also a little dated and did not reflect the professionalism of the firm. Rather than increasing credibility, it was going to lead to clients distrusting the website.
Another big problem was the lack of a local SEO strategy. The website didn’t have any city-specific service pages, which made it difficult to rank for location-based searches. Therefore, the company was getting very little organic traffic, despite being in a very local industry.
The firm’s Google Business Profile also hadn’t been properly optimized, restricting visibility in Google Maps and local search results where many legal clients begin their search.
Finally, there was no real conversion tracking in place on the website. There was no structured analytics, data layer tracking or UTM parameters, so it was hard to see which marketing channels generated enquiries, or how visitors engaged with the website. This made it much harder to continuously optimize marketing.
Solution
The project kicked off with a full redesign in Figma to improve usability and visual appeal. Each page was designed to make the user journey easier & provide the firm’s legal services more professionally & reliably.
After the design phase we decided not to continue on the existing WordPress platform and rebuilt the website with Next.js and Sanity CMS. This new modern technology stack allows for much better performance, scalability and flexibility, while supporting future growth.
The entire development process was guided by a mobile-first approach to ensure that visitors could easily browse the website on smartphones, tablets and desktop devices. Navigation, layouts and calls to action were designed to be consistent across all screen sizes.
Technical SEO was a big part of the redevelopment. The website architecture was searching engine optimized and EEAT principles were baked into all of the content to show expertise, experience, authority and trustworthiness.
Content was also created to meet Google’s YMYL guidelines as legal services fall under that category. Also, legal marketing content was kept compliant by following ABA Rule 7.1 guidelines.
We built dedicated city landing pages for local SEO. The website now better targets local search intent rather than relying on broad service pages, creating additional opportunities to appear in relevant searches.
The project implemented full conversion tracking. Data layer tracking and UTM parameters were used at key conversion points to record user behavior.
We optimized calls to action, added Call Rail Dynamic Number Insertion for accurate call attribution and integrated custom Next.js forms directly with Clio to automate the client intake process, further improving lead generation.
In addition to the website redevelopment, Google Business Profile optimization is also being carried out to improve local visibility and strengthen the firm’s online presence.

The new site features much faster load times, providing a better user experience and removing friction for prospective clients. The website and new visual design now present Meridian Legal Advisors as a modern and professional law firm which inspires more confidence.
